

Dr Behzad Shelechi graduated from the NYU Langone Dental Anesthesiology program, a post doctorate residency in dental and medical anesthesiology. During that time, Dr Shelechi received extensive training in the field of anesthesiology by providing the anesthesia for over 1500 cases, which not only included dental and oral-maxiloofacial surgeries but also involved more than 1,000 cases in the areas of general surgery, vascular, orthopedics, podiatry, urology, endoscopy, as well as emergency trauma surgeries.
Prior to completing his training in anesthesiology, Dr Shelechi obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. Under the guidance of renowned anesthesia educator Dr. Stanley Malamed, Dr Shelechi was selected for a two-year intravenous sedation selective. As a member of this selective, Dr Shelechi was responsible for responding to medical emergencies at the dental school, as well as assisting in the teaching of local anesthesia to dental and hygiene students. After dental school, Dr Shelechi worked in private practice in San Clemente, California, and as an associate dentist for Solis Surgical Arts in Tarzana, California.
Currently, Dr. Shelechi maintains a part-time associateship in a dental surgery center in Southern California as well as operates his own private mobile anesthesia practice. He provides anesthesia for wide range of patients including special needs, pediatrics, geriatrics, as well as healthy individuals with dental phobia and anxiety. Dr Shelechi is absolutely dedicated to providing compassionate care and safe anesthesia for all of his patients, and strives to treat everyone like his own family.
